Invicta Acting Studio
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all students enrolling in classes, workshops, rehearsals, and related activities organised by Invicta Acting Studio.
By enrolling in a class, making a payment, or attending a session, you agree to the following terms.
1. Programme Structure
Invicta Acting Studio offers acting training for adults, including Greek-speaking and English-speaking classes.
Classes may include, but are not limited to:
-
Acting technique
-
Scene work
-
Improvisation
-
Voice and movement
-
Character work
-
Ensemble practice
-
Camera acting
-
Rehearsal process
-
Live performance or showcase preparation
-
The programme is structured in two main phases:
-
Training Phase — focused on developing acting skills, technique, confidence, voice, movement, character, and ensemble work.
-
Rehearsal / Showcase Phase — focused on applying the training through rehearsals, scene work, and preparation for a final live presentation or showcase, where applicable.
Participation in a showcase is subject to attendance, commitment, rehearsal readiness, and the artistic/directorial requirements of the group.
2. Class Placement
Students are placed in classes according to the available programme structure.
Greek-speaking and English-speaking classes are separate unless otherwise stated.
Invicta Acting Studio reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to class groups, schedules, or structure where necessary for the benefit of the programme.
3. Fees and Payment
The standard monthly fee is £120 per month, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Fees are paid monthly in advance.
Payment secures your place for that monthly block of classes. The fee applies to the full month and is not calculated per individual session.
Students are responsible for paying on time. Late payment may result in suspension of attendance until the outstanding balance is settled.
4. Attendance and Missed Classes
Students are expected to attend regularly and arrive on time.
Because the classes are group-based and progressive, missed sessions may affect the student’s development, rehearsal process, and group continuity.
Missed classes are generally non-refundable and cannot automatically be transferred to another month.
Where possible, Invicta Acting Studio may offer reasonable support to help a student catch up, but this is not guaranteed and depends on the class structure, availability, and stage of the programme.
5. Monthly Commitment
By joining the programme, students understand that the training works best with consistency and commitment.
Students are expected to commit to the full monthly block they have paid for.
Leaving part-way through a month does not entitle the student to a partial refund, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. May and June Commitment Block
The final rehearsal/showcase period requires a higher level of commitment from all participating students.
For this reason, the months of May and June may be treated as a combined commitment block.
Students participating in this stage may be required to pay for May and June together in advance to secure their place in the rehearsal and showcase process.
This commitment is necessary because the final stage depends on group reliability, rehearsal planning, venue preparation, casting, and performance logistics.
7. Cancellation by the Student
If a student wishes to stop attending classes, they should inform Invicta Acting Studio in writing as early as possible.
Fees already paid are generally non-refundable.
For the May and June commitment block, cancellation after payment may not be refundable because the rehearsal and showcase process depends on confirmed student participation.
8. Cancellation or Changes by Invicta Acting Studio
Invicta Acting Studio reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or adjust a class where necessary due to illness, venue issues, low attendance, emergency circumstances, or other practical reasons.
Where a class is cancelled by Invicta Acting Studio, a replacement session, alternative arrangement, or appropriate adjustment may be offered.
Invicta Acting Studio will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes as early as possible.
9. Conduct and Respect
All students are expected to behave respectfully towards the tutor, fellow students, venue staff, and any invited guests or collaborators.
The studio is a creative working environment. Students must contribute to a safe, focused, and supportive atmosphere.
Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
-
Bullying
-
Harassment
-
Discrimination
-
Aggressive behaviour
-
Repeated disruption
-
Intimidation
-
Inappropriate physical contact
-
Disrespect towards the group or tutor
-
Behaviour that makes others feel unsafe
Invicta Acting Studio reserves the right to remove a student from the programme if their behaviour is considered harmful, unsafe, or seriously disruptive.
No refund will be issued where removal is due to serious misconduct.
10. Creative Work and Rehearsal Process
Acting training may involve emotional, physical, vocal, and imaginative exercises.
Students are encouraged to participate fully, but they are also responsible for communicating any personal boundaries, injuries, health limitations, or concerns before or during class.
The tutor may adapt exercises where appropriate, but students remain responsible for their own wellbeing and should not take part in anything that feels unsafe for them.
11. Health and Safety
Students must follow all reasonable health and safety instructions given by the tutor or venue.
Students should not attend class if they are seriously unwell or if attending would place others at risk.
Any injury, accident, or safety concern during class should be reported immediately.
12. Physical Contact and Boundaries
Some acting exercises, movement work, partner work, or scene work may involve physical proximity or carefully directed physical contact.
Students must respect personal boundaries at all times.
No student should touch another student without consent.
Invicta Acting Studio reserves the right to adapt, stop, or redirect any exercise or scene if boundaries, safety, or group trust are affected.
13. Photography, Video, and Promotional Material
Invicta Acting Studio may occasionally take photographs or videos for promotional, educational, rehearsal, or archival purposes.
Students will be informed when filming or photography is taking place.
Where promotional material is intended for public use, such as social media, website, or marketing, student consent will be requested.
Students who do not wish to appear in promotional material must inform Invicta Acting Studio in writing.
Students may not record, photograph, or publish other students’ work without permission.
14. Intellectual Property
Class exercises, teaching structures, written materials, rehearsal methods, original scripts, documents, and programme content provided by Invicta Acting Studio remain the intellectual property of Invicta Acting Studio or the relevant rights holder.
Students may use their training for personal and professional development, but may not copy, reproduce, distribute, teach, sell, or publicly share studio materials without written permission.
15. Showcase and Performance
Where a showcase or performance is offered, participation is not automatically guaranteed.
Participation may depend on:
-
Attendance
-
Commitment
-
Rehearsal discipline
-
Group needs
-
Readiness
-
Artistic and directorial decisions
The final format, venue, date, casting, scenes, and performance structure may change depending on practical and creative needs.
Invicta Acting Studio will make reasonable efforts to provide a meaningful performance opportunity, but external factors may affect the final structure.
16. Refund Policy
Fees are generally non-refundable once paid.
Refunds are not normally offered for:
-
Missed classes
-
Change of personal schedule
-
Non-attendance
-
Leaving part-way through a month
-
Dissatisfaction after attending part of the programme
-
Cancellation during the May and June commitment block
Refunds may only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Invicta Acting Studio.
17. Venue Rules
Students must respect the rules of any venue used by Invicta Acting Studio.
This includes respecting the space, arriving and leaving on time, keeping the venue clean, avoiding damage, and behaving professionally.
Any damage caused by a student may be their responsibility.
18. Personal Belongings
Students are responsible for their own personal belongings.
Invicta Acting Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items brought to class, rehearsal, or performance venues.
19. Data and Communication
Students may be asked to provide basic contact details for enrolment, payment, scheduling, and class communication.
Invicta Acting Studio will use student information only for legitimate studio-related purposes.
Students should ensure their contact details remain up to date.
20. Changes to These Terms
Invicta Acting Studio may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Students will be informed of significant changes where relevant.
Continued attendance after changes are communicated will be treated as acceptance of the updated terms.
