The Art of Being

Gabriel Syfer is a Greek actor, director, writer, and acting coach, with over 15 years of experience across theatre, film, television, and actor training. His work brings together performance, directing, writing, and coaching, shaped by a strong commitment to craft, discipline, and truthful storytelling.

His training began at the acting laboratory Theater Machine, where he studied for two years before entering drama school. He later graduated first from Drama School Athenean Stage with commendation, receiving a Distinction in Acting upon graduation, certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.


Throughout his professional development, Gabriel studied and worked with respected Greek directors including Corais Damatis, Giannis Iordanidis, Isidoros Sideris, Yannis Anastasakis, Nico Charalambous, and Maria Tzombanaki.
He also worked with DI.PE.THE Ioanninon and continued to expand his craft through major acting approaches, including Strasberg Technique and Method Acting, Meisner Technique, and Stella Adler’s.

His creative work has taken place across both Greece and the UK. He has directed theatre productions in Athens and London,and performed while his short-film work, both in front of and behind the camera, has been screened internationally, including in New York and Paris.


He has coached actors for auditions, drama school preparation, casting breakdowns, self-tapes, and wider professional development. His coaching includes online one-to-one sessions with actors preparing audition material, as well as support for candidates applying to leading UK drama schools such as RADA and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He has also worked with students in Greece preparing for drama school entrance auditions and Ministry of Culture examinations.
He has written screenplays and stage plays. He is also the author of Voices, a monologue collection created to support actors in training, rehearsal, audition work, and performance preparation.

As the founder and coach of Invicta Acting Studio, he brings together his experience to offer a structured and professional training journey for adult performers.His coaching approach is intuitive, actor-centred, and grounded in professional practice. He works closely with each performer’s instincts, emotional availability, and creative individuality, while combining technique, discipline, ensemble work, and performance practice to help actors grow with confidence, presence, and authenticity.
